Just snapping a few pictures during lunch on Friday. Abby is loving that bread and finally gives me a "smile"!

Best kid ever

Abby has always been such a trooper with her many doctors appointments through the years. Friday's echo was no different. The docs were just double checking something seen on a chest X-ray a couple of weeks ago. They're not expected to find anything, just a precaution. She sat and watched Disney Junior the whole time like a champ!

Sweatshirt weather

With the freak cold spell that came through this past week, Abby got to wear our favorite little sweatshirt of hers one more time.

Mommy and Abby selfie time!! Since I've been a little dizzy lately (dr said vertigo), I've been laying down on the couch most evenings. Abby asked if she could come and lay down with me for a while so I snapped a quick pic!

Jesus book

Abby enjoys reading her Bible. She has two of them. One has Jesus on the front and the other has Jonah and the whale on front. She likes the Jonah one best and calls it her Jesus book.  Clearly we have spent too much time in the New Testament and neglected the Old. 

 Here she is reading it during our worship rehearsal last Saturday. 

Faces App

Adam has some app on his phone where  you put it in selfie mode to take a picture of yourself and it puts different animated overlays on top. Abby loves making faces at it!

Flower for Gammy

They took Abby to the playground around Tony and Kathy's house yesterday since the temperature has been warmer. Tony sent this picture of the "yellow flower for Gammy!" 

A little work

Enjoying a cupcake

Abby waited that whole party for a cupcake to eat and when she got it, all she did was eat all of the icing off the top! Here she has a mouthful of pink icing. 

Food!

Abby enjoyed herself at the birthday party we went to on Saturday. It was a twinkle twinkle little star theme. 

I asked her to smile and she flashed this face below for about 1.5 seconds and then went back to no smile. Good thing I have a quick trigger finger!

For real...no pictures, Mommy!

We walked downtown for dinner one night and Abby still was not in the mood for pictures... I'll keep trying for a smile :-)

At the Drs office

I took Abby into the Drs office again on Wednesday because she is still coughing really badly. They tested her for everything--and she's negative. No flu, no rsv, no whooping cough, no fever...nothing! She even had chest X-rays and they were clear. So-it's great that she doesn't have something, but strange that she's been coughing for three weeks and doesn't have anything. Regardless-she's clear to go back to daycare with her Drs note. 

Random

I'm out of Abby pics today, so here's the pics Adam took of our basement being framed up for cement yesterday. This is from the left side of the house.

No pictures

I wanted to get a nice smiling picture of Abby in her dress on Sunday. She had something else in mind. 

So much better

Abby felt so much better on Sunday. No fever. No ear pain. She just had one nostril that was spitting out the snot. She's a trooper for sure. We even were able to take her to see Zootopia yesterday. It was great and she was super into it (and eating popcorn of course...).

Ear infection...

Well-after a really scary Friday night and four calls with Abby's pediatrician, we went to see her doctor Saturday morning to get this sickness figured out. Friday night brought over 104 fever, shivering, eye pus (weird, right??), lots of coughing, and fast breathing. After the first round of Ibuprofen, her fever actually went up a little, then switched to Tylenol and it went down to 101.4 so we put her down to sleep in her bed. The doctor was saying if we couldn't get it down below 102 that we were going to need to take her to the ER that night. Luckily, it did go down, so we settled for a trip to see her on Saturday. She was negative for the flu, which was the initial diagnosis over the phone, but she has a double ear infection that was causing the high fever and ear pain (forgot to mention that too!). We picked up some antibiotics for her yesterday so she's on the road to a full recovery!  We don't mind the cuddles in the meantime, though!

Dazed and confused

Abby has started getting sick again. She took a turn while we were out at dinner last night and couldn't stop coughing. We gave her some children's benedryl to help her coughing and a little while later, we could tell it had kicked in...

Basketball game

A friend of ours that sings the national anthem at a lot of basketball games contacted us with three extra tickets to the game for last night. We got to take Abby, and though she didn't pay attention to the game at all, she had a great time eating her popcorn! I'm pretty sure we could get her to sit through anything if we just gave her popcorn to eat. Food is definitely the way to this girl's heart!
