Nap time

This is how I found Abby when I woke her up from nap time. 

And mom-about the furniture, the store will store it for us until we need it and we will get it exactly as pictured. 

Furniture

Since I'm out of Abby pics, here are pictures of the furniture we are going to buy next week. A nice big sectional and dining room table for the new house. We won't get the chairs with the table because they are brown instead of gray/black, but at least we will have those two pieces knocked out!  And--we will be getting a deep discount on these because the manager there knows who Adam is on the radio and Adam threw out some free publicity for them on the side last week! I sure love a good deal!

Trivia night

Abby came with us for some team trivia Tuesday evening. She did really well, entertaining herself for the most part. Towards the end of the night, she was clearly a littler sleepy. 

Hanging with Minnie

We had lots of cuddles together while Abby was sick. I almost miss it... She is doing great now except some leftover coughing here and there. 

Still time for fun

We took sickie out for a meal and she entertained herself by making her stuffed animals talk to each other. I have no idea what the conversation was about, but it must have been hilarious because Abby was giggling the whole time!

Sick days

We had big plans to go to the children's museum in Pittsburgh this past weekend, but we needed to stay at home so Abby could get to feeling better. She spent a lot of time laying down on the couch with on my or a pillow. 

The beginnings

I had to take Abby into daycare on Friday even though I know she wasn't feeling well. Poor thing was just in a haze. 

Look at me, Mommy!!

Abby has been sick since Wednesday evening. It's The usual stuff- coughing, runny nose, fever...however, she still gets her bursts of energy in the evenings and runs around like a crazy kid! This particular evening, she was walking up and down the stairs asking us to watch her. She eventually sat here on the step and kept yelling, "look at me, Mommy!" Guess she isn't feeling TOO bad :-)

Valentine's Day

I got Abby a few Valentine's Day treats yesterday. It helped her to get out of bed without whining :-) I should bribe her with treats every morning!

Dentist

Abby had a fun time at the dentist last weekend. Her pink bear got a check up as well. This is the first time she's sat by herself at an appointment. Normally, they had her sit on my lap and lean back on me. She's such a big girl now; she doesn't need me :-) All clear on the tooth and gum front today!

Free Ice Cream

There's nothing better than getting to the end of your meal and remembering that the place you're at has free ice cream!

Riding the PRT

We have PRTs located around town to help students get from one place on campus to another. PRT stands for Personal Rapid Transit. They're like the monorail system at Disney world, but with only 8 seats each and way less nice :-). It's free for students and 50 cents for others. We decided to take Abby on her first ride last week. We walked downtown to the end of the PRT and then rode it to the entirely other end of it across town. That put us out right around a barbecue place for dinner. We had dinner and came right back home. Abby had a fun time riding the "train".

After Abby ran around Kathy and Tony's house being a superhero, she squeezed her way into the recliner I was sitting in--so I snapped a quick picture.

We can thank PJ Masks for this look...Abby likes to pose like a super hero, and one night she did this before bed and said it was her evil superhero pose. 

Cold weather

Abby enjoyed wearing Adam's hat that was given to him by our builder. 

Our bad

We bribed Abby to behave during dinner by promising a ride on this horse after dinner at The Texas Roadhouse. We got out there and took this picture, and went to get the coins to pay for a ride...and didn't have any. She was not happy about that! Oops!

I found it!

Abby likes to carry extremely tiny toys around with her all of the time. It's pretty amazing that she can even go to sleep with one in her hand and wake up with it the next morning. She had one with her over dinner last week and at one point I asked her where it was. She didn't know. So Adam and I have our phone flashlights out, looking around the booth, under the table, anywhere we could think to look. After a few minutes of us looking I said, "what do you have in your hand, Abby?" She opened it and there was her toy. She forgot she was holding it. Classic. 

Bloody lip

Abby, in one of her hyper periods, was running around the house, tripped and hit her face on the side of the couch. She tried to be brave and said she was ok, and then it hit her and she started crying. We had to keep an ice cube on it for a while to get it to stop bleeding. She's all healed up now, though. Here's the pic of me showing her her lip. Poor kiddo. 

Last snow pics

We walked down to the main road where people had driven enough to compact the snow and walked around much easier. You can see the giant truck behind Abby and the completely covered car in front of that to see how high it was up to at that point.
