The drive to Memphis

Abby is such a good traveler when we drive places. She even takes her normal 2 HR nap while on the road. Of course, all I see when I look at this is that she has outgrown her car seat. My little girl is growing up!

Spaceship!

A few things have had Abby loving spaceships lately. First, a guy from church passed on a huge bag full of Disney toys to Abby (his two sons have outgrown them). Included was the Mickey Mouse clubhouse rocket ship. She loves it! Second, her teacher at daycare, Miss Adrienne, made an obstacle course in class and called it Space Camp that they all had to play in. They made these spaceship crafts that day too. Lastly, I ordered a new bedspread for our guest bedroom from Bed Bath and Beyond and it came in a huge box. Abby has been closing herself in and pretending to "blast off". Here she is with her craft. 

Daycare pics

Abby got her day care pictures back a few weeks ago. She's such a little poser! 

So...this happened...

Yesterday morning, Abby woke up and said before she got out of bed, "my eye hurts."  When she got up I told her to be still so I could have a look. This is what I found. 

I wasn't sure what the do other than call the doctor's office to see if I needed to bring her in. Of course, they didn't open for another hour so I had to adjust my morning and take her to an urgent care place before I could even think about taking her to daycare. They would kill me if I brought her in and she had pick eye or something contagious!  She did not have pink eye, but what the doctor calls an "allergy shiner".  She must have seasonal allergies. She's had puffy eyes in the morning before (both eyes, and we thought that was a nut allergy that was later cleared).  Just seasonal. We got Claritin daily and children's benedryl for us to use as needed to help her get through when they start acting up. The puffiness totally went away by the end of the day and she is doing just fine!  Now to wake her up for today...fingers crossed :-)

Beginning

I can always tell when Abby is beginning to get sick. She stays where you put her. 

She ended up having a cough and snotty nose all weekend after this picture was taken. 

Abby's room!

Tony and Kathy are getting all moved into their new house. They got Abby's bedroom all set up for her yesterday and Abby was so excited to show me when I came to pick her up. She opened the door and said, "surprise!" 

This is a one of a kind "Tony crafted" lamp that Abby loves! He put the dumbo on it, bejeweled it, and puff balled it!

Since I'm out of Abby pics--I'll share my sushi class photo from this week. A small group from work went out to a cooking class and we made tons of sushi. It was a blast!

 

This is my office mate, Katie. She is new to Mylan and I am new to the Regulatory department so we get along really well :-)

Petting Lexi

Lexi let Abby pet her for several minutes a few nights ago. It was crazy! Abby was being very gentle and petting her real slowly and Lexi was just sitting there like, "whatever, kid..."

Ella the Elephant Hat

Abby likes to put her elephant blanket on her head like a hat. Last night, she kept it on her head, just like this, for over half an hour. And yes, she was holding it that way the whole time.

So...Abby was actually hiding behind my phone in this picture. She was peeking out from behind it every once in a while and I decided to snap a picture while she was "behind" it. 

Make me a dress

Abby was watching an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse where "Minnie-rella" got to dance with Prince Mickey at a ball (sound familiar??). She then wanted her own dress so she could dance too. Adam tied her blanket around her waste and helped her to spin. Just a regular Saturday morning around here. 

Hibachi grill

We went to a hibachi grill last weekend to see if Abby had lost her fear of the fire portion of the "show". She has always started crying when they set the grill on fire in the past. This time--she was unsure at first, but after we assured her of how cool it was, she loved it! I think she liked the fast chopping the most because she used our chopsticks the rest of the night like she was chopping and kept saying she was cooking. It was pretty funny. Actually, she might have been doing that when we took this picture.

Miss Smiley

Abby was all smiles for me while shopping this weekend. She's back to putting her fingers up to her face when I tell her to smile. 

Mommy's glasses (better lighting)

We went shopping this past weekend in Washington, PA. Abby was pushed around the majority of the time in her stroller. At one point, she wanted to wear Mommy's glasses. How could I say no to that face??

Trick or treating with fam

Adam and I had a wedding to go to the evening of Halloween, so we dropped off Abby to go trick or treating with Tony, Lathy, Tyler, and Liz. She got lots of candy for us :-) 

Back to the future!

In honor of Back to the Future day, we got Abby a sweet vest coat. She's even holding her "tablet" (not really...it's a book reader that goes with some Minnie Mouse books).  What a cutie.
