Haircut time!

Abby's hair is growing like a weed! It was almost to her bottom and we decided it was time for a trim. Keith, that does mine and Adam's hair, is kind enough to do Abby's hair as well. She got it just in time for vacation which helped her hair to be more manageable for me. 

Chocolate Milk!!

Abby's two favorite things...chocolate and milk. She was in heaven when the restaurant said they were out of white milk!

Shame

I don't remember why, but Abby got in trouble while we were at dinner and she wouldn't look at us for. She has started saying when she gets in trouble, "stop staring at me!"  We had to explain that that is how we get her to understand we're serious and she needs to listen.

With Abby's hair as long as it is, pigtails seems to be the easiest way to keep her hair pulled back.

I wanted to try to get some good pictures of Abby in this dress from Memaw as we've been waiting all summer for her to grow into it. I tried at home first. Success. 

Then I asked for some smiles at church to see if I could get a better one. 

No idea what happened here.

Saturday morning reading

Abby is so accustomed to us asking her to find something on a page, or asking what color something is, that I'm pretty sure that's what she thinks reading is. She automatically does those things when we're going through a book. "That's a monkey. That's an octopus. That's blue."

Alone play time

On Saturday morning, Abby was kind enough to let us sleep in a little bit before she asked to "wake up". She was awake in her room trying on things that we store in a plastic shoe thing that hangs on the back of her door. It has thing like socks, bows, shoes, hats, and mittens in it. She had on a matching set when we came in to get her!

Floor selfie

Abby built herself a nice little pillow fort on the floor with all of the couch pillows. Then she asked us to come lay down with her right in the middle of all of them and cover up with a blanket. Who can say no to that face??

Frozen yogurt

Abby got a treat after dinner with Gammy and Poppy the other night. A little frozen yogurt with fruit toppings! Yummy!

Too much energy!

I was trying to get Abby to stand still and smile for a picture one Sunday morning. This is what I ended up with!

Birthday Party

Abby was invited to a birthday party with a water slide. She decided she didn't want to go on the slide and was content playing in the splash pool right next to it. 

Pierogi time!

I'm going to guess that my family doesn't know what a pierogi is. They were new to me when I moved up here. Regardless, they race at the Pittsburgh pirates baseball games, and happened to be at the Black Bears game the night be were there.  They came up to visit us in our suite and take pictures with Abby. She kept calling them potatoes. She's not completely wrong, as it's a 2-3 inch dumpling stuffed with mashed potatoes.

She loved them! 

Black Bears Game

After WVAQ had Adam, Kevin, and Sarah throw out the first pitch at the Black Bears game, they walked us upstairs to a suite with our own seats. They had nachos, wings, hotdogs, and drinks for us being restocked all night long. Great food and a great view!
