Fountains
Abby loves fountains. "Water!", she always yells. It also helps her chill out if she's having a hectic day. While shopping around one day, we took a break at this fountain to calm down and listen better. See how long her hair is now?

Still M & D time!
Here's the rest of the pics from our first day in the parks with Tyler and Liz. Tyler and Adam ended up wearing almost the exact same outfit so we called them "Twinsies" all day. We ended the day with dinner in Epcot's Mexico, an indoor restaurant where it is always nighttime.

Mommy and Daddy time
On Monday of vacation, Tony and Kathy kept Abby while Adam, myself, Tyler, and Liz all spent a day in a couple of the parks. The first picture was from the Toy Story line. Adam was talking to his radio show playing a game called "where in the (Disney) world is Adam?" I then proceeded to win the ride (you shoot things from your moving cart for points). I always win this one. Then we decided to take some cheesy couple pictures at some other places: outside the Rockin Roller Coaster and then the street in Dinsey Studios.

Grand Floridian Villas
We stayed in the beautiful Grand Floridian Villas while at Disney. They had a cute little fountain in the lobby and Abby could not keep her hands out of it. We also discovered a tiny bed that folded down from the living room entertainment center in the loving room in our villa. We didn't let Abby sleep on it, but she loved playing on it.

Glasses Emergency
Our first agenda item for Orlando was to eat lunch at a restaurant in Downtown Disney. Abby napped in the car on the way and happened to have pulled her glasses off while she was sleeping. When we made it to Downtown Disney, we woke her up and carried her through the parking lot to the restaurant to meet everyone else for lunch. When we went to put her glasses on, they were missing a lense! We weren't sure if it had fallen out in the car or in the parking lot walking into Downtown Disney. Adam and I both separately retraced our steps in the hot sun-slowly searching for a tiny clear glass lense on the ground, and then all through the car. After 20 minutes or so of searching, we were at a loss. We switched to, "how do we replace that specialty lense in Florida so she can see during her vacation" mode. Adam could not eat he was so determined to find that thing so he went back for another try. He pulled the car seat out and shook it as hard as he could in the parking lot...and heard something clink onto the ground! He found it! So--she only spent 45 minutes "in the dark", thanks to her determined daddy. That was a close one!

Tradition
It's a tradition to stop at the Florida Welcome Center when we cross the Florida state line each time we go on vacation. You get a cup of fresh orange juice (or grapefruit juice of you prefer) for free and stock up on brochures for attractions across the state to read along the way. We decided this year that we would start taking our picture in front of the sign on years that we go with the year in there. We have one from years past but no year sign. Here's to traditions!

Welcome Center characters
There were some character cutouts at the Florida Welcome Center that Abby liked. She wanted to hold the minion's hand and then she was smitten with Harry Potter.

Florida welcome center chair
We have a picture of Abby in this chair from last year with her helmet on. My how things have changed! I'll put last years pics at the bottom.

Great traveler
For the drive down to Florida, we always stop in Savanah, GA to spend the night. Abby did so well all day and had lots of energy to use up when we got to the hotel. She kept climbing up on this bench and moving around a bunch, and then hopping down and running around the room.

Ponytail
Last week when I picked up Abby from daycare, she had a ponytail! I have a really hard time in the morning trying to fix her hair because she won't sit still long enough for me to get anything done. I asked the worker how she got her to sit still long enough to do that and she said she didn't give her any problem. She even let her work on a braid but the layers in her hair didn't work well with it. Go figure.

Belly ache
Abby had what we guessed as a random belly ache last week. She was walking around grunting and then extra cuddly. I cuddled with her for the evening and for her to bed early and she was back to her normal self the next day!

Ankle Braces
We got Abby's ankle braces last week. You can just barely see them between her sock and shoe. Doesn't slow her down one bit! She will more than likely wear them for a year before they'll consider checking to see if she doesn't need them anymore. Tag that onto the list of weird things she's had to wear!

Cheese stick
Abby loves string cheese! It's an easy snack that she can eat by herself...mostly. Sometimes I leave the wrapper on it to slow her down-keep her from shoving the whole thing into her mouth at once. When it gets to the wrapper, she usually says "help" for one of us to take it down more so she can eat more. She was extra dramatic about it this day.
