Abby made some interesting faces at Applebee's yesterday...

RSV

Abby had a rough Friday night, waking up coughing a lot. We decided to take her into urgent care to see if there was anything we could do to help. They tested her for RSV and it came back positive. We know that a kid had it in the church nursery a couple of weeks ago, so we're guessing that's where she got it from. When we went into the urgent care, I tried to get her to wear a mask in the waiting room..that lasted all of 4 seconds!  Too big to stay on a kiddo! And here she is wandering around the room waiting for the dr, too. She's is in a good mood, but still coughing and feverish. There's nothing to do but give her Tylenol/ibuprofen for the fever and let it run it's course. We will be keeping her away from other kiddos for a while though so we don't continue to spread this around. 

Happy for sick

Abby has had a cough all week and it seems to be getting worse. Adam is going to take her in to the dr today to see If there's any relief for her. She's too young for cold medicines. We've waited to take her in because she's always so happy. She doesn't really act sick. Here's some (dark) pictures of her goofing around last night. You would never know she has a horrible cough. 

New T

She moves so quickly now, it's hard to get a decent picture...so here are my attempts at getting a picture of Abby in her new Tshirt from Menaw.  It says "Sorry ladies, my Daddy is taken!"

Sleeping with bunny

We've started putting a couple smaller stuffed animals into Abby's crib because sometimes she will wake up and want to play with something. This morning I heard her wake up 30 minutes before I can get her up (because I'm getting ready for the day myself). She just hung out in her crib chattering. When it was time to get her up, this is how I found her...laying on her back pretending to kiss her little bunny stuffed animal over and over again. And since I'm posting a picture--I have her in 18mth pjs and they're still a little loosey goosey!

We're really loving all of the fun books Abby has. She only lasts a few moments on most so it's good to have lots of options!

Milk for Mickey

Abby started feeding her Mickey doll yesterday. Very cute. 

Manners

We're trying to work on manners. Step one, chew with your mouth closed. This was yesterday's effort...  Oh well...

Walkin in Pittsburgh

We had a rare free weekend and decided to go up to Pittsburgh for the day.  We visited a girl from our church in the children's hospital (she'll be having brain surgery next week to remove parts that cause her seizures) and she gave Abby one of her balloons to take home to play with. Then we ate lunch at an awesome place called Hello Bistro and walked around a bit. Now we're off to a mall to walk around and see where the rest of the day takes us!

Morning stretch

Abby's morning ritual once I turn her lamp on in the mornings. She immediately goes from face plant to her back and big stretch. 

Sniffles

Abby just can't seem to shake her sniffles. She's had them for weeks and every once in a while you can tell it really hits her hard and she just wants to lie down. We gladly accept the chance to cuddle. 

Pretty dress

Here's Abby in her pretty dress a church yesterday. She got so many complainants on ot and she loved the puffy bottom. I am learning how hard it is to get an in focus picture of her with her glasses on now, though. There's always something reflecting off of them to block her eyes. 

Saturday morning

Everyone once in a while (usually right before nap time) Abby will sit still next to me and watch something on tv. I believe we were watching the food network. Granted, it's five minutes tops, but I do enjoy my cuddle times. 

Strange things

Abby always finds strange things to play with around the house...other than her toys of course.  Here she is crawling around holding two votive candle holder blocks--minus the candles of course.

Pushing

Yesterday morning, Abby woke up 30 minutes early and would not calm down and go back to sleep. Since I was still getting ready for the morning, I let her play with some things upstairs to keep her busy. She decided she wanted to push the laundry baskets around. She pushed it into our bedroom and then pushed it right back to me a few times. 

What's that?

We walked downtown to dairy queen Sunday afternoon to get a little snack. Abby was content to sit there in her gloves and look around at stuff. This was the first outside walk we've done since she got her glasses, so she was probably seeing much better. This is her staring Adam's blizzard down. Don't worry, I gave her some of mine :-)

Good morning

Well, more like good late morning, more specifically, 11:30 after her morning nap. She's so sweet when she wakes up!

We had a girl from church offer to do some professional pictures for Abby--free session! So all we'll have to pay for are the prints that we want. Jamie Brashear Photography (she has a Facebook page) is who was nice enough to do this for us. Here's one that she texted me this morning as a sample. 

New face

Abby is learning some new faces lately. Here's one of them. 

Put some clothes on!

Here was abby yesterday morning. She was very giggly on the changing table while I was getting her clothes on. Rare for the morning. 

What? I'm learning here!

Abby still loves anything that makes noises. She will sit and press buttons to make music for ten minutes at a time, tilting her head from side to side and wiggling to dance to music. 

Cuddles on a snow day

We had around 6 inches or so of snow Sunday night and they cancelled all if the schools. This usually means they don't try to clear the roads as quickly. So this means it makes it pretty dangerous to get out. I went ahead and stayed home with Abby yesterday and worked from home. Abby wanted to cuddle a lot so she kept asking to get up on the couch with me. 

Snowman hands

Abby got these toys in her stocking at Christmas. You put a Ping pong size ball in and pull a trigger and it shoots it up into the air. She's not strong enough to pull the trigger but that doesn't keep her from playing with them. She puts them on and looks like she has claw hands!
