Practice

I've mentioned before that sometimes we have to take Abby to worship practice when we're both serving on a weekend. Once I was able to get Abby distracted with the tape markers on the stage, she was ok with being set on the stage. She would scoot herself over to my microphone and grab on. 

Pulling up. Almost

We've been working on pulling up to standing. She got halfway here. It's dark, but her right leg is bent at her knee with her foot pointing toward her left leg and she couldn't figure out how to push up with her left leg. She stayed in this position for a while. 

Feeding herself

Abby is figuring out how to use her spoon. Of course, I had to put food on it that would stick since she waves it around her head before making it to her mouth. We'll keep working on it :-)

Shiner

Abby came home one day with a little red shiner. She face planted into a toy. She's a trooper though because you never would've known if it didn't leave a mark. 

Eli

I couldn't get a smile out of both of them at the same time, but this is Eli Griffith. He's 2 1/2. I put Abby down on their couch to grab something out of the kitchen and Eli hopped up on the couch to sit next to Abby. They were reacting to each other with different noises. They are both excited to see each other a couple of times a week!

Boy hair

Kathy sent this one day that she gave Abby a bath. She said,"this is what I would look like if I was a boy!" Adam responded back to say,"I wouldn't put my boy in something with ballet slippers on it!"

Quantum Leap

Abby got into the entertainment center for the first time. Turns out she's a big fan of Quantum Leap. 

Floor time

We're still working at rolling over more easily. She CAN roll over now that she is helmet free, she just doesn't care to. Why roll over when you have this much fun on your back??

Pictures without help

So I needed to take Abby's 11 month pics last week, but Adam had several evening activities and wasn't there to help distract her and make her smile. Here was a few of my attempts...

Needless to say, we tried again the next night and got some better ones. 

Selfies

Well...she finally figured it out...how to take her own picture!  Sometimes I turn the camera to the front facing camera so she can see herself and she finally figured out how to take a picture. She even switched it to video once and took a few seconds of her staring at the camera!

Hi there

Just hanging out. She gets in this position like she's about to flop over and crawl and then she gives up and goes back to sitting. So close!

Abby is up to her multiple personality face making games again...

Mittens

Tony and Kathy got some cute owl mittens for Abby this week sine it snowed on Monday. It was really funny because she would wave her hands in front of her and just stare at them. She also wanted to try to pick things up with them. She likes them. 

I'm sleepy

Sleepy At church

This is what happens in between services on Sunday when Abby doesn't take her morning nap in the nursery during the first service. I'm ok with it :-)

Ooooooo

Here we are waiting for church in the "Green room" behind stage. Abby saw something she liked and started "oooooo-ing". I caught her faces :-)

Completely out

Abby seems to be extremely tired after I feed her lately. Here's her conked out Saturday morning on me. 

Go mountaineers

Abby was sporting her West Virginia gear for the game Saturday. She was sad that they didn't win. 

Rehearsal

On weekends Adam and I are both singing, Abby has to hang out with us during worship rehearsal. It's a long time (2:30-6:30) so sometimes she gets clingy and wants to be held for the majority of the time. Yesterday, we finally got her ok with not being held, but had to bring her up on stage right next to me for her to relax. Here she is during a song--most likely hypnotized by the booming subwoofers directly beneath her!

Helmet free dinner

We went to some friends' house for dinner the day we got Abby's helmet off and she was super cuddly--just chillin on the couch with us. She was so cute!

Guess who!

Guess who has graduated from her helmet!? Yep! Abby's cranial scan yesterday put her at 10mm asymmetry and that is enough to not need her helmet any more. She doesn't seem to notice that she doesn't have it on, but we're super happy. She slept fine last night without it so here come the bows!

B&W

Abby was just staring at me the other night. She kept leaning forward and her hands and giving me a big grin! I couldn't catch the grin, but I caught the in between staring. It was dark so the black and white shows her smiling :-)
