Serious convo

Abby and I were having a serious convo about poop. She was already in her third outfit for the day because she seems to be exploding with poop. We need to find a happy medium between constipation and explosion :-) 

Checking mommy out

Most of the time when Adam is feeding Abby, she will take a moment to kick her head back and stare at me for a few minutes. Adam stopped fighting it and just let's her do it for a while, and then pops her back up to remind her she needs to finish eating. 

Hangin at church

We were sitting in the lobby between services and Abby was having a good ole time shaking her rattle. 

The nursery

Here's Abby in the church nursery this past Sunday. I stopped in to check in her after we were done on stage and she was the only one that wasn't crying! Just sitting there playing with her toy. 

Sleepyhead

This Sunday, we were actually  able to spend from 2:30 on at home! We definitely stay too busy that we celebrate free time so much. It shows how busy we stay in Abby's sleep patterns. She was so tired she took a two hour nap (double her usual max) when we got home and still took her usual naps for the rest of the day. So sleepy that I could sneak in and take a picture of her!

Solo bath

When Adam isn't home for bath time, it gets tricky. One thing in particular that is hard is getting Abby wrapped in a towel to dry off. I finally figured out a solution of draping the towel over the toilet and then lifting her out of the bath directly onto the towel where she will sit up and I can wrap her! This is the best pic I could get without holding her still. My little bundle of baby :-)

Bath time

Abby is really liking bath time lately. She finally will look up and around during it rather than fixating on whatever toy we give her. It's really funny. Here, she's letting her legs float in her tub. Very strange. 

Gammy's front porch

Abby loves two things. Sitting and outside. So naturally, she loves sitting on porches. Here she is hanging out at Tony and Kathy's house one day, watching the cars go by. 

Pre bed fun

Every night before bed time, Adam and Abby have their fun time on the couch. She gets really hyper, but can still go straight to sleep the second we leave her in the crib. This night, she was leaning in and pressing her face strongly into Adam's. it was really odd!

Lunch out

Abby is getting used to using high chairs at restaurants now. We found the secret to helping her last through the meal without an eruption of sleepiness. Puffs. The gerber puffs broken into smaller pieces is enough to move her attention away from fussing. 

New dress

Abby got to wear her new Minnie Mouse dress to church yesterday. She loved it because she always had something to chew on :-) (the bow)

Hangin with mommy

Here we are one evening before bed, waiting for her hair to dry before we put her helmet back on. 

Play time

Abby loves to pull Adam's hair. She also loves to kick her left sock off when she gets a chance. This is her having done both!

8 months old!

Daddy is mean

The top of Abby's helmet is the perfect size to store something..say...a rubber ducky??  She was playing with her light up ducky and Adam decided to put it on her head. She just picked up something else and had no idea why we were laughing at her.

Pulling weeds...kind of...

I put Abby out on the front porch yesterday while I pulled weeds. She likes being outside to check stuff out. 

Eating out

We only keep Abby in the car seat when we go out to eat it she's asleep when we get to the restaurant. Then, she usually wakes up and goes nuts on us... Here she is starting her spitting and shaking her hands and feet. She usually stops when we pick her up. 

Lexi for dinner?

Lexi has been getting more and more curious about Abby. She creeps around her checking stuff out. Here, she jumped up to say hello while we were putting away the food Abby didn't finish. 

Fun before bed

Our nighttime routine has turned into waking her from her nap, bath and wash helmet, feed, and playtime while her hair finishes drying. She gets all excited and starts throwing her body around best she can. She sets her eyes on something and lunges towards it. Here's an example of her seeing my phone and then going for it! 

Hat head

Abby had a serious case of hat head when it was bath time last night. I had a small ponytail coming out the top of the helmet (as you can see)! She was hungry, which is why she was crying. 

Foot. Yum.

So this pretty funny and I couldn't get the camera to focus well enough but wanted to share the pics anyway! One of the milestones Abby is a little behind on is noticing and playing with her feet. She was sitting, awkwardly might I add, in my lap with one foot right in her face. Yes. That's what that small pink thing is (socked of course). She chewed on it for a while :-)

Softball game

It's been Adam's softball season all summer so we go to games most Monday and Tuesday evenings. Last night, Tony stopped by to watch the first game of a double header. 

Avocado

Abby's latest new food, Avocado. We're cutting things up into small pieces to get her to start picking things up to eat herself. She's struggling still, so I end up picking it up and shoving it in her mouth for her. She loves avocado! 

Dress up

These pictures aren't the best in focus, but she had a cute onesie on that day so I had to take a picture. It says "this is my little black dress".

Pool time

TI found this fun pool online for $12 so I couldn't pass it up! I wanted to acclimate Abby to the idea of a pool since we're going to Daytona for vacation in September. Like most things, she was fine with it. Chillin' like a villain.
