New hat

Abby is worked up to having the helmet on for 23 hours a day now. She sleeps fine in it and doesn't notice it except for when we have to rip the Velcro strap to get it off. We do the hour off in the evening and give her a bath, feed her, and cuddle while her hair dries. We go today for follow up and adjustments. 

Bath at Gammy's

When Kathy gives Abby a bath, she fits perfectly in their sink!

Mirror mirror

One day, Abby was in her little activity center and she finally noticed the mirror on one piece. She was like, "who's that baby lookin at me??"  

Feeling those teeth

Still seeing this face a lot. We think she's playing with her teeth in her mouth. 

Loving the sitting

Abby's favorite wake time activity is sitting up and playing with something with her hands (or with her hands...).  We think she's about to bust out some top teeth so her hands are in her mouth almost all the time at this point. 

Bath tub fun

Baths are much easier now that Abby is sitting well. I give her a couple toys and she just hangs out for a while. She loves her light up duck--whenever the bottom touches  the water it lights up. 

New hat

Everything went smoothly getting Abby's helmet fitted and on. Now we start out with a few hours a day with breaks until we have her in it 23 hrs a day, using the hour off to wash her sweaty head and the helmet. It's really hot in that thing so she will sweat a lot until her head gets used to it (2-3 weeks). She doesn't seem to realize that she has anything on her head. Hopefully that will continue :-)

New ball

I found a textured ball for Abby to play with. She of course immediately puts it in her mouth whenever she has it. 

Sittin' pretty

Abby is sitting up pretty well now and she really looks so funny and cute when she does. 

Fun on the floor

This is mommy and Abby playing on the floor together. She was in such a good mood I had to snap a few pics :-)

Got it!

She figured out how to tilt the cup up...just arch your back and lean back!  She just throws herself backward. 

Ready to eat

Standing

At dinner one night that Adam was out of town, I had to feed her while i was out to eat with friends. She was getting fussy so I tilted her car seat up in the corner of the booth and stood her up in it-leaning into the car seat. She stood there by herself for a few minutes while I prepared myself to feed her! Our friends were amazed :-)

Sippy cup

We're working on transitioning to the sippy cup with water after speaking to the pediatrician. You don't want them to have much because it will throw off their electro light balance this young and also you don't want it to fill up their belly and them not eat milk with the nutrients they need. She loves to drink from a cup, but still doesn't get that you have to tilt it up to get the liquid into the mouth piece. She'll get it soon!

I did Abby's 7 month pictures yesterday by myself. Adam has been at a golf tournament all weekend. It's harder to get a big smile without daddy there!  Anyway, there are some pretty fun pics, so I'll have to split them into a couple of posts. Here's the first group.
