Playing with hair

So last week, I bought some tiny hair bands to try out in Abby's hair. I wanted to do pigtails since her hair is so Long in back, but she can't hold her head up well enough for me to get them in. So I settled for playing with the hair on top of her head. This is the winner. I had her sitting in the rock n'play sideways so it would prop her up. Last picture is ponytail I. The center. She looks weird that way :-)

Hi there

Just working on sitting up. But I'm too cute for mommy not to take a picture. 

She's a stander

Abby really likes standing strong lately. We can let go and she balances for a few seconds. Maybe she'll walk before she rolls over...

Shopping at Gabes

Gabes is a place that unsold brand name clothes go to die...like an even cheaper Marshall's. Adam always finds more clothes than I do so we end up waiting around the store for him to finish trying them on. Here's Abby posing for me in the  middle of our wanderings.

Solid foods

We tried Abby in solids yesterday for the first time. I was going to make something myself but didn't have a recipe I liked yet, so we tried out the rice cereal from the grocery store like our pediatrician suggested. Took us a minute to get what we thought was the right consistency, but once we did, she seemed fine with it. I wouldn't necessarily say she "ate" it, but she didn't get mad at us for feeding it to her! We'll keep trying that one meal a day until she gets used to the idea of a spoon and until I find some good vegetable recipes to try out. She's growing up! Will be five months on Tuesday

Tummy and back

Sleeper

Abby is finally big enough to fit in the sleeper that Memaw got her! I'll try to get better pictures next time she is in it. She started out in the crib that night, and then ended up back in the rock n play by morning cuddled up in a ball. Then I got a pic from Kathy with her sleeping in it at their house before she got her clothes for the day on.
